Technology and Our Future

We live in the technological era where everything around us is advancing faster than we can turn around. We are learning new things everyday and continue to push towards new discoveries. As we look to the future now, we continue to think of new questions so that this era does not stall.

Ideas continue to pop up such as the creation of the Hyperloop, Human Head Transplants, World-Wide Wifi, and even Self Driving Vehicles (http://www.sciencefocus.com/feature/future/future-technology-22-ideas-about-change-our-world). The creation of these new ideas have many positive effects but also carry negative ones too. Positive effects can range from ease of use, extra time available, and convenience. The negative effects that can come right after are laziness, impacts on existing systems, and becoming content.

We need to be aware as we create these innovative ideas because it has the ability to go both ways. We want to continue to innovate but we want to do so without jeopardizing ourselves by causing laziness and encouraging obesity or by stalling further innovation by allowing people to settle with what exists. As time goes by more ideas will come about and its up to us to continue to push the human race further in to the technological era and beyond.
